So, we all know the verses. We can sing the songs. We can talk the "talk".
BUT DO WE EVER REALLY STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT IT ALL MEANS?
I am talking about the things that we say, read, or see from the Bible.
For me, I was raised in a Christian home where Christ was at the center. From childhood, I have been to Sunday School, Bible Club, and V.B.S. Now I am at Bible College!
Everyday revelations are amazing!
Because God's Word is amazing!
He reveals more and more to me each day.
It makes knowing Him, even better!
My "newest" revelation comes from this college student/transition stage of my life.
It is about knowing (and doing) the will of God.
As I was struggling with this fact in my life, I began to study what the Scripture said about the will of God.
God's will is not hidden from His children. He has told what He wants us to do. It is found in His Word!
This is the will of God:
- holiness (1 Thess. 4:3)
- thankfulness (1 Thess. 5:18)
- hiding God's Word in your heart (Ps. 40:8)
- being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom. 12:2)
- obeying your masters--or those in authority over you (Eph. 6:6)
- being equipped with everything good (Heb. 13:21)
- living for God, not ourselves (1 Pet. 4:2)
So now it comes back to me. Even though I may not know what God's will for my life--as far as "location"--may be, I can still know what God wants me to do. Right Now!
What an awesome God we serve!
